Micro-Mesh Roll – AO

Available in full rolls (50ft) or half rolls (25ft). All rolls supplied are 6″ (152mm) wide with a choice of two lengths. We can custom cut lengths upon request. For smaller pre-cut lengths click here.

Rolls are available in AO, Regular, and MX versions. Listed are our most popular in-stock sizes. All rolls are branded with the MICRO-MESH logo and grade printed on the backing. Micro-Mesh AO has the same flexibility as Micro-Mesh Regular, the only difference is there are three coarser grades, utilises Aluminium Oxide abrasive crystals and is off-white/yellow colour. This allows for the abrasive wet polishing of lighter, porous items.

Primary uses for Micro-Mesh AO: Solid Surface Countertops, Aluminium, Ceramics.

All Micro-Mesh Rolls are 6″ wide (152mm) with two choices of length:

• 25ft Roll (approx. 7.5 metres)
• 50ft Roll (approx. 15 metres)

Micro-Mesh Roll – AO, are available in the full range of 12 Grades as below:

• 300 AO – equivelant to: P180 (82 Micron)
• ​600 AO – equivelant to: P360 (42 Micron)
• 800 AO – equivelant to: P500 (31 Micron)
• 1500 AO – equivelant to: P600 (27 Micron)
• 1800 AO – equivelant to: P1200 (16 Micron)
• 2400 AO – equivelant to: P1500 (13 Micron)
• 3200 AO – equivelant to: P2500 (9 Micron)
• 3600 AO – equivelant to: 8 Micron
• 4000 AO – equivelant to: 5 Micron
• 6000 AO – equivelant to: 4 Micron
• 8000 AO – equivelant to: 3 Micron
• 12000 AO – equivelant to: 2 Micron

For reference, the Micron quoted is the the amount that the polishing sheets will abrade the surface. For comparison 40-90 Microns is about the thickness of a human hair. Any single scratch below 40 Micron would require magnification for it to be visible. 1 Micron is equal to 1 thousandth of a millimeter.

Additional polishing can be achieved by using Micro Gloss Type 1 Polish and Cleaner, this is a 1 micron liquid abrasive to be used as a final step.
