The Micro-Mesh Grit Conversion Chart can be used as a guide to help you select the right abrasives and know when to start using Micro-Mesh. Use conventional abrasives as normal prior to going into the MICRO-MESH finishing stage. It is advantageous to use Micro-Mesh as soon as possible in your finishing process as it gives a more consistent scratch pattern and therefore a better surface finish. The chart below should act as a guide to find the “range” of Micro-Mesh in which to use.
